I sent them all the particulars about my house i.e. size, usage, bills, orientation etc. and then they ‘drop the ball’

What are the insurance implications for building your own panels, I do not want anything to do with hooking them up to my house( that's what the electricians are for) but the difference between a min of $1500 per panel and the cost to build them myself is ridiculous, (from my pricing almost 66% less per panel).

Gentlemen,
I am currently conducting sea trials for the US Army with and electric powered vessel using a standard shipping container to bring relief supplies into a disaster beach or military operation.
I am interested in a solar powered de-salination system as an option. I have seen competitors that also generate hydrogen for night time porduction via a fuel cell. This may be a costly option over a standard battery bank.

We currently have a solar panel system connected to the electric company’s grid that covers about 90% of our electricity usage. Is there a way to have a back-up system in place that, in the case of a long term power outage, we could convert to “off the grid” power usage with “flip of a switch” so we would still have access to the energy created by our solar panels? We are looking only for a back-up system for off the grid usage. Is there anything like this available anywhere?

Are there any grants to help people with disabilities acquire solar panel installation to offset the high cost of electricity from their medical equipment i.e. Oxygen pumps? I know a number of people who could benefit from Solar power to augment their electrical usage but have no way of purchasing and installation of solar panels.
I realize this is not the place to ask this kind of question but it was the place I was directed too.
