Make plans now to attend the annual Solar and Sustainable Celebration in Northern California. On September 25 and 26, 2010, the summer weather will still be shining in Ukiah, California at the Redwood Empire Fairgrounds. Its a perfect place for the Solar Living Institute’s outdoor solar seminar, known as Solfest.
A few hours north from San Francisco along Highway 101, you’ll find Ukiah at the gateway to the Redwoods forests in Northern California.
What will you see at the Solar and Sustainable Celebration? Marketing itself as the “Greenest Show on Earth,” there will be workshops on solar energy, a kid’s stage, main event stage, wine tasting, a silent auction, music and raffle prizes! There’s even a solar oven cookoff. This year’s keynote speaker is Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Weekend Festival Camping is available now in addition to tickets for the event. Just $125 will give you camping and admission both days to the solar festival. Bring your RV for only $25 more. Kids under 12 are free!
If you want to buy advance tickets for Solfest, click here. Admission is also available at the gate, and there are plenty of volunteer opportunities.
Get out and enjoy the sun!
