Utilities pay more for solar power than they do from other sources, and have renewable requirements compelling them to deliver a certain percentage of energy from renewable sources including solar.

So the American taxpayers pay a portion of their income for solar companies to do research through this program and then they have to pay more for electricity from their utilities due to renewable energy requirements

How can higher taxes and higher electricity bills improve the US economy?  The answer is it doesn&#039;t, subsidizing renewable energy always leaves a country economically worse off.</description>
