Watch the new RePower America Solar Energy Commercial

RePower America has released a new solar energy commercial.  Its advertisements about “clean coal” have been a viral Internet hit.  I credit RePower America for exposing the myth that coal could somehow lead us to renewable, clean energy.  (but more on this in a later post….)

Now, instead of criticism, it offers real solutions to the energy crisis in America and across the world.

Let’s preview the new national ad for “Solar,” which calls for major investment in and support of solar energy.  I get goosebumps each time I see it:

RePower America with the sun!

This solar energy commercial is the latest advertisement from RePower America, which has as its foundational aspiration the goal of achieving 100% clean energy in 10 years in America.  This will be accomplished through wind and solar power, energy efficiency and plug-in electric cars.

Is that too much of a push for you?  Don’t doubt it, just get on the bandwagon!

As the advertisement above shows, we can and should harness the power of the sun – particularly because the American West is “the Saudi Arabia of solar power.”  What time like the present to make a real change with respect to fossil fuels?  Now, more than ever, we need clean energy and green jobs!

Don’t believe its possible?  How about the fact that a single parcel of land in the desert Southwest – a mere 96 miles long – can provide enough solar energy to power our country’s entire electrical system?
